I love this photo because I was able to take a plain ordinary background and turn it into something dreamy and colorful. The background was a white wall. I simply added a few wine glasses, compressed it and threw it out of focus using a telephoto lens, then adjusted my white balance to turn it blue. A testure was later added in post processing for effect. I kept the foreground in proper white balance using a separate gelled speedlight.

A similar technique was used here for this photo of Peanut Man. Peanut man was the first kinder surprise I got from my wife almost 5 years ago while we were dating. He has great sentimental value to me, and you just can’t resist his charm.

My backup camera, and the latest addition to my arsenal. I used Two speedlights here to simulate morning window lighting. You can almost make out the wine glasses I used in the background here.
